Finish Specialist Cabinetry
Looking for someone who can efficiently and confidently apply wood toners, wiping stains, clear coats, paints, paint and glazes, and numerous other wood finishes. If candidate is not familiar with all of these processes we perform, we are open to training the right person. Our processes are documented, step by step so it is easy for an experienced finisher to pick up on our processes. Candidate will also need to be able put his spray gun down and match colors. We do occasional applications where we need to match a stain or paint that we have no record of what color or finish was used on the original. The finishing specialist would learn to use our stock materials, blend as needed to create an acceptable match to owner's sample. Candidate will also be asked to assist in helping create new finishes to offer our clients. We will request new finish samples, colors, etc. to help meet the current trends our clients and decorators are seeking. The finishing specialist will be asked to create samples of the requested colors, create a process sheet to record how to recreate, as well as create a finish "step panel" to help illustrate what the color should look like at each step of the process.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of wood finishing/color matching experience in manufacturing environment. Applicant must be reliable and punctual. All employees are subject to random drug testing to ensure a safe work environment. Applicant needs to have excellent communication skills, able to coordinate efforts among fellow finishers as well as other mill and installation crews. We are looking for a motivated employee, who is eager to come to work, get projects done in a timely manner, always ensuing the product quality is the #1 priority. Good management skills are required, as there will be other finishing assistants that they will be working with that need to stay busy. Always look ahead to see what needs to be worked on next. Finishing specialist must be open to training others on new tasks as well as learn to delegate tasks to help even out the work load among fellow finishers.
$50K+ commensurate of experience
