Job Description
Store Fixture manufacturer has immediate opening for an Evening Shift production supervisor. -Candidate will supervise, organize, manage and lead production team to produce high quality products, within budgets and on-time.
-Plan and organize the production work flow.
-Enforce safety guidelines.
-Ensure workers are provide the proper tools to effectively achieve their assigned tasks.
-Regularly inspect the work performed to ensure quality, correctness, and accuracy. Perform final sign-off inspection to make sure all products are properly tagged for shift transfers and next operations.
-Coordinate with other supervisors to effect a smooth and efficient flow of materials.
-Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures.
-Maintain attendance and ensure corrective actions are dealt with.
-Monitor and assist with promotions, demotions, transfers, vacations, leave and disciplinary action.
-Oversight of production to ensure it is well kept and organized.
-Assess and schedule both morning and afternoon shifts.
-Plan and organize production activities of the plant to ensure required products are manufactured on-time and correctly.
-Monitor and promote employee moral.
-Promote cross training.
-Enforce production flow consistent to lean manufacturing methodology.
-Recommend training and continuous improvement programs.
Eligibility Requirement
-5 years of progressive experience in wood product manufacturing.
-Excellent interpersonal skill, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and influence people at all levels internally and externally.
-Strong desire to advance.
-experience with table and vertical plane saws, beam saws, edge-banders, boring machines, shapers, molders, routers (both manual and CNC), and point-to-point machinery.
