Job Description
Looking for shop supervisor with leadership experience managing a small group of employees in a custom cabinet shop. The day-to-day activities would include scheduling workers, ordering materials, working with the owner to produce shop drawings, organizing work flow to meet delivery dates.
Eligibility Requirement
Should understand custom cabinet construction methods in frame and frameless boxes. This individual will oversee all shop activities from building to delivery, project management, and hands on training for new employees. The supervisor will need to assist with new machinery purchases, repairs, and maintenance. Will be using spreadsheets, Sketchup, KCD, and Quickbooks. We work a 4-day work week, Overtime may be required to meet a delivery deadlines. 1/2 of the job will be done in an office, and 1/2 on the shop floor. Growth is expected over the next few years, and we are looking for someone to help us manage and plan it.
Custom Cabinet Shop Experience, management and leadership experience. A person committed to help others learn and achieve goals as a team. No formal education requirements. No wage garnishments. Background check will be performed. Must be able to understand the shop plans and oversee the building phase to meet the project specifications. Some more difficult or complicated designs will have concept drawings only. Expected to have working knowledge of costs and shop expenses – will need to assist owner in end of jobs reports, discuss job profitability, and ROI for new purchases.
