Job Description
Very well established architectural millwork manufacturer is looking for an engineer with aspirations to become manager. This position will start as an engineer coordinating drafting, cut lists, material calculation and submittals. However a candidate who can demonstrate their ability to lead will be considered for advancement to eventually oversee a department of 6-10 engineers and have final authority over technical challenges, red line revisions, submittal and shop drawing oversight, personnel as well as meetings with clients, general contractors and architects to resolve issues.
Eligibility Requirement
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of industry standards. Previous bench experience is desired as the ability to identify problem areas in relation to manufacturing and production is essential. Strong AWI knowledge with fluent understanding of blueprints. Strong attributes in leadership which show ability to lead, mentor and train others in our methods of manufacturing.

Job Description
The Assistant Production Manager position will be sharing and supporting the production manager in all his duties and responsibilities.
Successful candidate will assist with scheduling and coordination of production work in our PA mfg. facility and with engineering and project management with branch offices and in NYC territory.
Quality control – critical.
Technical authority on all questionable issues - critical.
Leadership qualities and authority that allow positive and productive work atmosphere and environment.
Eligibility Requirement
Hard working, devoted, stable, very long term oriented, positive, multi-tasking, highly technical, with extensive knowledge of architectural millwork, cabinetry, and furniture in a metropolitan environment. Previous shop foreman or team lead knowledge and ability to manage others is required. Must be able to lead by example and have confidence in their ability to mentor and train others.

Job Description
Interpret construction drawings to build products/ parts with Microvellum V7 with machining for joinery and hardware which will be nested and have CNC G-code generated.
Assess the drawings to determine the proper starting product to be modified to create new custom products; ability to create custom products in Microvellum.
Assign proper materials to products with attention to thickness, board sizes and grain/pattern directions.
Include and assign machining to parts for all applicable hardware.
Understanding of basic machine operations and distinguishing proper tooling to assign for each machining action.
Create organized nest drawings to be used by the machine operator.
Troubleshoot G-code and machine error codes as they relate to the CNC program.
Work directly with shop floor personnel on issues and manufacturing concerns, ensuring continuous product and process improvements.
Interpret architectural and interior design drawings to create 2D construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Provide complete, detailed and accurate drawings to manufacture operations adhering to customers' needs and any applicable codes and regulations.
Prepare construction information (i.e. drawings, cut lists, BOM) providing the necessary information for programming, machining and assembly operations.
Develop and modify existing products from established standard specifications.
Prepare approval drawings that ensure all the essential product information is signed off by the customer.
Eligibility Requirement
Must be familiar with typical cabinet and millwork manufacturing process. Must be proficient with AutoCAD Familiar with Microvellum, V7 a plus (Candidate can be trained if all other Qualifications and Duties listed are met) Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word and some Excel) Bluebeam. Must have strong time-management skills and be comfortable with a deadline driven schedule. Must have excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities, and strong attention to detail.

Searching for an experienced Drafter / Engineer with Microvellum and AutoCAD experience to join their team. Qualified candidates would have a background in woodworking and cabinetry. Candidates will be expected to produce submittal and cabinet/fixture drawings, revise redline drawings, confirm hardware specifications and requirements and successfully engineer cabinets/fixtures for production using Microvellum.
Eligibility Requirement
Microvellum and AutoCad experience and/or training are required;
Experience working with Genesis, Pattern Systems, Cut Rite, Ardis or other industry related software is a plus;
CNC Programming experience is a plus;
Time management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required;

Job Description
Reporting directly to the General Manager or Senior Estimator, the Estimator is responsible for profitably estimating job opportunities for millwork projects of varying size and complexity. Estimates are derived from the bidder’s ability to accurately predict the amount of fabrication, finishing, and installation hours, in addition to the cost of raw materials for every unique project. A successful estimator must have an expansive hands-on knowledge of various fabrication and installation processes to meet the minimum requirements of this position. The Estimator will review bid invites and other opportunities as they arise to determine whether Company will accept or decline the invitation. Estimator’s primary responsibility is to compile project estimates and ensure Company commitments in regards to the bid schedule are accomplished. Effectively communicating and promptly following-up with external clients is an essential function required to be successful in this position.
Eligibility Requirements
· Estimate number of fab, finish, and install hours required to complete the project, along with assessing cost and availability of raw goods.
· Develop and maintain a daily bid schedule, and adhere to customer’s deadlines
· Assess bid opportunities to determine feasibility of providing proposals on promising prospects.
· Plot, read, interpret, and understand architectural and shop drawings
· Complete takeoffs of architectural bid drawings then compile pricing estimate and a project scope of work using tools and software available
· Research & source specified materials and obtain price quotes from vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors
· Price, negotiate, compose, and issuance of project proposals to clientele
· Negotiate with prospects throughout bid stages; provide value engineering, breakdown pricing, alternates
· Participate in both internal/external meetings to actively collaborate with coordination of project requirements
· Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members via phone, email, fax, or in person on a daily basis. Expeditious follow-up skills are paramount
· Schedule and effectively lead comprehensive project handoff meetings to Project Management team for smooth starts
· Assist Project Management team with Change Order pricing and submittal
· Attend project site meetings as required by General Contractor, may include occasional overnight travel
· Attend and actively participate in weekly Company meetings
· Review of contract requirements, scope, specifications, and negotiations to ensure project successfulness and compliance
· Keep the General Manager and others immediately informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
· Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
· Excellent use of the following skill sets: verbal/written communication, time management, planning, executing, decision-making, technical, business acumen, and a managerial aptitude

Prepare initial layout of drawing pages, including project information and key plans per area.
Develop detailed shop drawings and submittal packages for millwork, cabinetry, and panel products using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
Obtain and assemble data to complete submittal packages and shop drawings, performing material and hardware research as well as site information as necessary.
Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and quantities for material, hardware, and buyout orders.
Responsible for end-to-end Engineering process for major projects, utilizing Drafters and Pre-Production, and coordinating with Project Teams.
Work with Project Teams in creating RFI’s, identifying scope adjustment items, establishing and evaluating design concepts, requisitioning material, generating material lists, calculating material requirements for LEED documentation, meeting AWI/QCP certification requirements.
Evaluate feasibility of designs, based on factors such as technical feasibility, function, budget, and production costs/methods.
Modify and revise designs to improve operating efficiency.
Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
Develop manufacturing procedures and cut lists and monitor the manufacturing of shop drawings in production to improve operations and product quality.
Research specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and provide labor and cost estimate recommendations and itemized production requirements.
